Me at 60 degrees
Poor Planning Mrs. Robin
As we head into a Memorial Day weekend and remember that it's not just a long weekend to barbeque some steaks. "All gave some, some gave all" Honoring those Veterans.
Today was a chilly 60 degrees and windy as well. Western Washington residents realize that Memorial Day weekend is generally crap weather and deal with it. Summer does not begin until July 5, as written in the Washington State bylaws. If you moved here from a sunnier, warmer location you should have been forewarned.
Pictures show one of Jack's tomato plants alongside my sunflowers. Now if we get some sun.... But it beats 95 degrees with blowing sand (Palm Desert)
Another picture shows a bird's nest that greeted us when we arrived a month ago. Mrs. Robin built it above the door to the laundry room. Poor thing vacated the nest every time we opened a door or went to our vehicles, and we never heard any babies. Hopefully next year she chooses a more private location.
